The resilience of the economy and getting mega foreign investments are key factors of the government’s policies، says Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon.
Speaking at the press conference held this afternoon at the Foreign Ministry، Minister Dunya had highlighted the importance of seeking foreign investments and its benefits to the country’s economy، in light of President Abdulla Yameen ratifying the Amendment to the Constitution today، granting foreign investors to own lands in the Maldives.
“This will bring more investments to the Maldives، increasing the job opportunities and out wealth،” Minister said.
Furthermore she conveyed felicitations to Ahmed Adeeb for being appointed the new Vice President، and assured that the implementation of the foreign policy will be hastened under his instructions.
She had also noted that many leading foreign dignitaries will be arriving to Maldives to take part in the Independence Day celebrations this week، including Sri Lankan president Mathripala Sirisena and ministerial officials from other countries.
In addition، Minister Dunya also conveyed Independence Day greetings.
