A woman from L. Gan Mathimaradhoo has beaten and injured her 71-year-old mother.
A woman named Mariyam reportedly beaten her 71-year-old mother with a ‘high heel’ shoes around 13:00 on Sunday. The 71-year-old received blows on her head، resulting in injuries.
Police Media Official said a report of domestic-abuse of an elderly was reported to Police at 13:35. Police have confirmed that the 71-year-old woman is currently being treated at Gan Regional Hospital.
The 24-year-old daughter، Mariyam، who attacked her mother has been brought under the Police custody for engaging in a domestic-violence.
A local from Mathimaradhoo reported that a quarrel between the daughter and the mother heated up and the young girl attacked her 71-year-old mother.
“During the argument she took the ‘high heels’ she was wearing and hit her mother on the head and injured her. Police have arrested her and assisted to take the mother to the hospital.” a local from Mathimaradhoo said.
