Former President of Maldives، and the President of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed has claimed that negative affects are imposed on the island-level developments as Ministry of Home Affairs is constraining land lots in the islands.
President Nasheed told Press that Home Ministry has seized several land lots and they should grant the land lots to the Councils، which is the most resourceful way، before leaving to Kaaf Maafushi to oversee the Guesthouse project.
“The land lots should be unconstrained. It should be granted to the councils. Councils will make the lands resourceful. It is the Corporate Policyu. True development lies within our Corporate and Business Policies.” President Nasheed said.
He said he does not accept that Government should put a constraint on the land lots.
In the one-day trip to oversee the Guesthouse project in Kaaf Maafushi، many MDP activists are travelling along with Former President Nasheed.
