Health Minister Iruthisham Adam has stated that the remaining 36 inhabited islands were a government-backed pharmacy is missing will have an outlet enacted before the end of 2015.
During a press conference held at Health Ministry today، Minister Irthisham had stated that the remaining 36 islands will have pharmacy outlets build in them before the end of the current year.
“Government had collaborated with STO and Aasandha in establishing a total of 152 pharmacy outlets at various islands” she said.
Government-backed chemist outlets are managed by State Trading Organization – with regards to personnel and pharmaceutical handling، with all STO-Government based outlets subjected to provide Aasandha Scheme.
In addition to this، Health Minister had highlighted that the government had taken up the initiative of procuring 53 ambulances to the health sector in order to improve the field، stating that currently 14 new vehicles have been procured while the remaining vehicles will be procured sometime this year.
Minister had also asserted that vital medical equipment and other necessary supplements will be provided to health centers operating across the country، shortly in future.
