Maldives just got a little more flavorful. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (The CBTL), a global icon in specialty coffee and tea, is going to officially open its first cafe in this island paradise, at Hulhumale' beachfront on Monday.
Located at Lot 10376 Hirundhu Magu, the cafe can seat 33 guests and offers takeaway for those on the go. With endless views of the Indian ocean, The CBTL’s Maldivian outlet offers a sensory indulgence alongside handcrafted brews, signature ice blended drinks, and a legacy of quality.

This milestone marks a strategic partnership between The CBTL and Waterscape Investments Pvt. Ltd, a Maldivian hospitality company. “We’re proud to collaborate with Waterscape Investments, whose deep local insight and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our values,” said CEO Pepot Minana.
From the top 1% of Arabica beans to handpicked teas sourced from family-owned estates across Asia, every cup served reflects the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship. Guests can enjoy velvety lattes, cold brew teas, and the brand’s iconic ice blended drinks—first introduced in 1987 and now beloved worldwide. Available in flavors like Mocha, Hazelnut, and Mango, these creamy indulgences come in three styles: Classic (milk-based), Extreme (bold coffee), and Pure (non-coffee).

For those craving something sweet and comforting, the cafe also offers Classic Milk-Based Treats—creamy, customizable beverages served hot or iced. Pair your drink with a selection of quick bites, including bagels, fresh salads, chunky cookies, gooey brownies, and customizable sandwiches. The dessert menu rotates seasonally, keeping things fresh and tempting.

The CBTL will be open Saturday to Wednesday from 8:00 till midnight, and Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 to 1:00, past midnight.
