The Ministry of Tourism has awarded an award in the name of Gold Coin to two Housing Development Corporation (HDC) employees who participated in the ‘Maldives Jet Ski Tour 2021 North to South’.
The award was presented by Dr. Abdulla Mausoom at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Tourism. The two HDC staff members who received the award are CSR event specialist Ahmed Shamil and planning department Road and safety Manager Ahmed Sofwan.
‘Maldives Jet Ski Tour 2021 North to South’ was held on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Six official riders and three spare riders took part in the tour.
The participants visited all the atolls of the country which began from Ha. Thuraakunu most northern island in the atoll.  And participants signed a plaque given by councils of each island. In addition, a token filled with sand from each village was presented to the participants. This is the first time jet skis used to travel all the atolls of the country.
