Gasim's case of bribing MP's resent to PG

The case was sent back by the PG when it was first forwarded as it had been incomplete. “We have forwarded the case to the PG after completing those areas,” Police media official said. Inspector Mohamed Riyaz told the Parliament’s Privilege Committee in December 2011 that PG had sent back the case asking to present the witnesses to the PG before the case could be accepted. Nasheed’s government had earlier detained Gasim on charges of bribing some law makers but Supreme Court had ruled that his detention had been in violation of the constitution.
