STELCO Inaugurates State Utility Skills Academy in Thulusdhoo

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has inaugurated the State Utility Skills Academy established in K. Thulusdhoo. The academy was officially opened by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a special ceremony held yesterday on the island during his visit. According to STELCO, the State Utility Skills Academy was established by the company to develop human resources in the utility sector, build capacity in this field, and enhance the skills of individuals working within the sector. The academy includes classrooms, a workshop, a laboratory, and accommodation facilities. A renewable energy laboratory has been established at the academy, equipped with valuable resources and tools worth USD 200,000, which were donated by a Chinese company. The academy has been established with facilities capable of training 50 students simultaneously.
