The government has set a one month complaint submission period for the newly published list of eligible Gedhoruveriyaa Scheme applicants.
The 4,000 flat social housing project was initiated by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration, with a list of eligible applicants published just before the end of that administration.
However, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) flagged several discrepancies in the applications, and the current government reviewed the list and came up with a new and verified list last Wednesday.
Housing Ministry said they would be accepting any complaints regarding the list until March 31, 2025.
Those who submitted applications would be able to submit a complaint regarding their application through the Gedhoruveriyaa Portal, the ministry said.
If the complaint is about another person on the list, complaints can be sent in via email or by letter addressed to the ministry. More information on the complaint process will be available by calling 4004911 and 4004910, the ministry said.
In the final list, a total of 1,820 people were declared eligible, out of which 1,423 people would receive three room apartments and 397 applications are to get two room apartments.
The reviewed list also determined 2,695 applicants as ineligible including 424 people who were bumped down from the original list due to point changes.
