The Maldives Surfing Association (MSA) surfing teams have has signed Bank of Maldives (BML) as its official partner.
The bank said that the partnership will support the MSA Junior Surfing Championship to develop the skills of young surfers.
BML in-charge and acting MD Aishath Noordeen said the partnership will help promote surfing and turn the aspirations of future surfers into reality. She also noted that surfing is a popular and growing sport in the Maldives.
In order to promote sports in the Maldives, BML has also collaborated with a number of businesses to sponsor a variety of events featuring soccer, swimming, and tennis.
Recently, BML and the Maldives Olympic Committee partnered to provide sports scholarships to deserving athletes.
