A Maldivian man has been found dead in the waters off a resort in South Male’ Atoll.
According to the police, the authorities received reports of the sighting of a dead body off the coast of Velassaru Maldives at around 09:11 am on Thursday.
The police identified the deceased as a 35-year-old Maldivian male who worked at a resort in K. Atoll.
The police did not specify his place of employment, or disclose any other details.
The case is under investigation by the police.
