If we look at the history of Maldives, 2016 will be written as the year in which differently abled people got the most amount of services.
In this regard, if we look at employment opportunities, a record number of jobs were provided to differently abled people. Fenaka alone provided 100 jobs and many other companies provided jobs as well. Records obtained by Miadhu shows that In 2016 government companies provided more than 200 opportunities to people with disabilities.
In addition, the government of China also provided a lot of assistance to people with disabilities in Maldives. They donated computers to the school run by Autism Association and also provided financial aid to the school.
Some resorts and individuals also assisted in various activities conducted by Autism Association. This government has achieved a lot in providing various services to people with disabilities. The private sector has also taken the government as an example now.
Special Sports Festival organized for kids with autism is also a notable event. The work done by the government to accommodate differently disabled children in all schools of Maldives is also exemplary work.
