Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce to arrive in Maldives today

Deputy Minister of Commerce of Republic of China، Gao Yan is expected to arrive in Maldives today.
Minister is visiting to take part in the second meeting Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) between Maldives and China. The first meeting of this committee was held on 16th December 2014 in Beijing، China.
In that meeting، it was decided to carry out a joint facility study by both the countries. The facility study has concluded now. In relation to this study، tomorrow، a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed so begin Maldives free trade agreement negotiations.
Economic Ministry informs that the free trade agreement will benefit both the countries in terms of business.
A special press statement by both countries will also be held tomorrow.
Moreover، Minister of scheduled to visit the National Museum built by the Chinese government in Malé tomorrow. She will also participate in the unveiling ceremony of Malé-Hulhumalé bridge design tonight. In addition to this، she will also have a look at the area where the bridge is supposed to be built.
