A special walk event was carried out in the evening of 30th May، Saturday that saw all local schools participating in the event.
Home Ministry confirms the special walk ceremony was participated by all local schools from across the country، with a total participant number of 20،000 which had included students، teachers and parents.
The ministry confirms that it is the first time ever، such a walk event was carried out participating all local schools. The walk marks the highest number of schools participated ever in Maldives so far.
The walking route of the event were Majeedhee Magu، Ameenee Magu and Boduthakurufaanu Magu، with students carrying miniature versions of Maldives national flag and other relevant props، and Minivan 50 slogans and posts.
The ceremony ended with a sky-dive event which had seen gliders descending with the help of parachutes.
While the walk was carried out in Malé، students، teachers and parents from various schools across the country had taken part in a similar walk event in their respective islands.
