MMA has extended the opening due date of the Maldives Commercial Bank.
MMA said they had granted license on May 16, 2016 to open before September 15.
However, MMA said the deadline could pose difficulties for the Bank and as a result the deadline has now been extended to September 26.
The bank is a joint venture between Sri Lanka’s Commercial bank and Champa business and is the first bank with majority shareholders as locals.
