Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dunya Maumoon met with the Maldivian student, Mr. Suhail Ali, who was evacuated from Yemen.
At a meeting held at the Ministry yesterday morning, Minister Dunya met the student and his family and expressed her happiness on his safe return back to the Maldives and for being reunited with his family.
Ali and his family members thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Maldives for the efforts made to evacuate him due to the deteriorating situation in Yemen.
Suhail Ali was evacuated from Sana’a, Yemen, on 6 April 2015 with the assistance of the Indian Government and reached the Maldives this morning.
