President of the badminton association of Maldives Moosa Nashid have met with Councilor Deputy Chief Mission of China Yang Yin.
Moosa is visiting China on an invitation by the Councilor of China. During the meeting they discussed about getting training for Maldivian players from China.
In addition since Maldives is an island nation Nashid requested for Chinese assistance is widening activities within the atolls. He also thanked China for the current programs that are being conducted with Chinese assistance.
Furthermore he said that the target of the Maldivian team is to get gold medal in the 2019 Indian Ocean Island Games.
Speaking at the meeting Yang Yin said that China will do whatever they can to develop badminton in Maldives.
