MP for Villimale' constituency Ahmed Nihaan have said that the people who are worried about King Salmaan's visit to the Maldives are the same people who plotted to blast Dharubaaruge 25 years ago.
Speaking to Miadhu News Nihaan said that the people who are against this visit are the same people who got convicted for plotting to blast Dharubaaruge and their followers.
He said that these people are worried that Maldives might attain economic development and they always do things like protesting against Maldives with priests during the Berlin tourism fair.
In addition he said that the people are concerned that the state did not prosecute those who were running boycott campaigns against Maldives during the Berlin fair. He said that the people of Maldives believes that it is the responsibility of the PG to prosecute those who commit economic crimes like this.
"I have talked about this in the parliament as well. The PG should do this. 25 years ago their excuse was that President Maumoon has been in office for too long. Now they are worried about the biggest foreign investment the Maldives will ever see. They are worried that Maldives will develop" said Nihaan
Nihaan said that no matter how worried some people are, the President will develop the nation and increase the national revenue. He said that the president will make Maldives self sufficient
