A designated area of Crossroads has been established as a camping site for students

An area of Crossroads has been set aside as a new camping site for school students near Malé.
The facility was inaugurated today by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a special ceremony held at the site.
Established under Crossroads’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the new camping ground spans three hectares and is equipped with a mosque, accommodation rooms, a first aid room, and an office building.
Speaking at the ceremony, Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu highlighted that it had been nearly 15 years since there was a dedicated camping site for students near Malé. He noted that the newly opened facility is highly suitable for student activities, including cadet, scout, and girl guide programs, as well as a range of educational and environmental initiatives.
Dr. Shafeeu also announced that fisheries science field trips and other environmental awareness programs will be conducted at the site.
Following the inauguration, President Muizzu toured the camping ground and inspected its facilities.
