The play-off matches between the second-placed teams of each group have begun today to secure the last place in the semi-finals of the of the Futsal competition of Tourism 50, Mila Uthuru Sports Fiesta 2022, organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council with the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism.
In the first match of the play-offs, the second team of Group A, Narudhoo, and Komandoo, who finished second in Group C, met at the Lhaimagu Futsal Ground yesterday evening. Ahmed Athif of Narudhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
The second match of the play-off will be played today between Komandoo, who lost the first match of the play-off, and Goidhoo, who finished second in Group B. The match will be played at Narudhoo Futsal Ground. The final match of the tournament will be played on 19th of this month.
In addition to the Futsal tournament, Mila Uthuru Handball Tournament for women from Shaviyani Atoll is also scheduled to be held at the fiesta. The handball competition, which was participated by 10 teams from 10 islands of Shaviyani Atoll, will begin on November 21.
