Three government companies have been awarded contracts for the construction of health facilities in 18 islands across the Maldives. The projects were awarded to the Road Development Corporation (RDC), the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Fenaka Corporation.
RDC was awarded the contract for the construction of health facilities in four islands. The agreement was signed by State Minister of Health, Ahmed Gasim on behalf of the Ministry of Health. Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Abbas Ali Naseer signed on behalf of RDC.
Projects awarded to RDC:
Construction of HA. Filladhoo Health Centre’s Expansion Building
Construction of R Meedhoo Hospital’s new building
Construction of M Mulaku Health Centre’s Expansion Building
Construction of GA Dhaandhoo Hospital’s new building
Meanwhile, MTCC was awarded five health centre development projects. The agreement was signed by State Minister Ahmed Gasim on behalf of the Ministry of Health, while MTCC’s Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner of Police (retd) Ahmed Saudi signed on behalf of the company.

Construction of R Imnamaadhoo Health Centre’s expansion building

Fenaka has been awarded the contract for the construction of health facilities in nine islands. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Health Ministry by its State Minister Ismail Shareef while Fenaka was represented by its Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Arif.
