A young police sergeant with no known history of illness dies unexpectedly on Tuesday, shortly after he was taken to the hospital with respiratory difficulties.
Mohamed Arshad, 37, was rushed to the Hulhumale’ Hospital on Tuesday morning after he had trouble breathing. He died shortly after doctors began treatment.
A source close to Arshad told Sun that he has no history of serious illness.
The police have issued a statement conveying condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen and all members of the police force.

Arshad worked as a car driver for Home Minister Ali Ihusan, who is currently accompanying President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on a tour of HDh. Atoll.
His funeral details have yet to be publicized.
