FlyMe to commence international flights

Villa Air’s carrier FlyMe which has a domestic operation expands its territory with new international destinations.
On Friday, 04 September 2020, conducted a charter flight to Sri Lanka prior to their commencement of international operations.
Moreover the domestic carrier confirms inclusion of purely local crew members.
FlyMe made use of their ATR 72-600 flight for the first charter operation across local waters.
Earlier, the airline had acquired necessary licenses prior to operating in an international capacity – which came to conclusion on Thursday, previous week.
Maldives Civil Aviation, the mandated authority of local aviation monitoring and regulations issued permission to the domestic airline.
Furthermore FlyMe confirms scheduled flights between Male’ and Colombo, once the Lankan authorities reopen its borders.
The flights will operate between Velana International Airport (VIA) and Lanka’s Ratmalana International Airport.
