JP is a party which strives to remove the inequality in the society between the rich and the poor- Muaz

Madaveli constituency member Muaz Mohamed - the only member in the Peoples Majlis who did not represent any political party has stated that Jumhooree Party is a party striving to remove the inequality in the society between the rich and the poor,
Muaz made this remark in a special ceremony which was held in Paradise Island Resort to celebrate his membership of the Jumhooree Party.
He stated that Jumhooree party is - so far - the party doing their work in the most democratic way; and that he joined the party because of that mindset.
“Even though I was appointed to the seat as an independent candidate, it is a very difficult task to undertake works in the parliament as an independent member,” he said.
Muaz said that he believes that the Jumhooree Party is the most ideal party that he can join to perform my duties.
The new addition brings the total number of JP parliamentarians to 13.
Kimbidhoo Council President, Abdul Nasir Ali, Kimbidhoo Council Vice President, Hassan Rasheed and Council member Farooq Ali, along with Gdh. Madaveli Council member Niyaz Hassan in addition to the former State Minister of the Defense Ministry, Mohamed Ahmed also signed to JP during the ceremony.
