The super specialists brought for the ‘super specialist services program for atolls’ inaugurated last night will be the best doctors from the neighbouring countries، said Minister of Health، Ahmed Zuhoor.
Speaking to the press at the President’s Office today، Zuhoor said the purpose of the program is to let the people to attain specialist services at arm’s reach. He said instead of people travelling to Male’، people can attain services at their islands or atolls.
“They will be able to get the specialist aid while at home، under Aasandha. This saves so much time and money،” Zuhoor said.
Mujthaba Jaleel، CEO of NSPA reiterated Minister Zuhoor’s statement saying the introduction of the program will save so much time and money. He further said doctors intended to be brought in for the program are 18 doctors from 8 hospitals from neighbours. India and Sri Lanka.
In addition، Mujthaba said the specialists who had arrived in Maldives for the program includes neurologists، neurosurgeons، endocrinologists، cardiologists، ENT specialists، pediatricians، urologist and nephrologists.
