Bank of Maldives opens applications for "BML scholarship fund"

Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for scholarships as the first of a series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the banks 40th anniversary in November this year.
The bank states that a new initiative is planned for every month of this year.
The scholarship aims to build skilled Maldivian youth in the banking and financial sectors. The fully funded scholarship provides opportunities for all individuals to pursue higher education abroad.
Students applying for the scholarship may apply to complete an undergraduate program in the fields of banking and finance, such as financial technology, risk management and financial reporting and analytics or financial engineering.
Maldivians between the ages of 18 and 25 who have passed all subjects in the A Level examinations will be able to apply for the fund. Under the fund, BML will cover tuition fees, monthly expenses, visa fees, book purchase expenses, establishment allowance and tickets.
BML said that, applicants for the fund must submit their application forms and additional documents to scholarships@bml.com.mv via email before April 21.
