A group of men have been arrested while fleeing with the younger sister of Aminath Shima Nafiz, who went missing at sea on February 22.
Shima went missing after her dingy overturned while travelling from L. Kadhdhoo to Maamendhoo.
One of the arrested include Ibrahim Fazeel, who had been operating the dinghy and escorting Shima to Maamendhoo before he swam to safety after it overturned.
RaajjeMV understands that the group of three had their faces covered while attempting to flee with the sister.
The police media officer confirmed that they have arrested three men near Six Senses Resort while they were travelling on a dinghy with a 16-year-old girl.
