Twenty-four hour electricity service would be available in every island in the Maldives by the end of the five year term of the incumbent Government، President Abdulla Yameen said.
President made the statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of the new power house in Raa atoll Innamaadhoo.
President Yamin said that the Government has decided to provide 24 hour electricity to all the islands no matter how small it is.
Continuing his speech، President further expressed gratitude to the FENAKA Corporation for the ‘tireless work’. and stated that it is valued.
He also requested the public to support the projects undertaken by the Government، for the benefit of the people.
During the official trip to northern atolls، President Yameen is being accompanied by Minister of Environment and Energy، Thoriq Ibrahim، Leader of Maldives Development Alliance and Member of Parliament for Meedhoo constituency، Ahmed Siyam Mohamed، Member of Parliament for Ungoofaaru constituency، Jaufar Dawud and Ali Mauroof، Member of Parliament for Kendhikulhudhoo constituency.
