Official discussion on China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement on 15th October

The first discussion on China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement has been scheduled for 15th October 2015.
This discussion will be held on the 15th of next month in Malé.
Today، the MoU was signed between the countries to start China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed signed the MoU on behalf of Maldives and Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce، Gao Yan signed on behalf of the Chinese government.
After signing the MoU، Minister Saeed said that today will be marked in the economic history of Maldives and that this is the first free trade agreement of Maldives.
Economic Ministry informs that the free trade agreement will benefit both the countries in terms of business. Moreover، the free trade agreement، once signed، will make it easier to trade between China and Maldives and will increase the chances of expanding investments.
