The measure to provide services of Maldives Hajj Corporation via the Islamic Bank has been launched. It was launched by Finance Minister Abdullah Jihad.
Speaking in the launching ceremony of the service, held in Central Hotel, Hajj Corporation Chair Sheikh Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim said the purpose of the Hajj Corporation was to provide easy access and services to the public. He said the agreement signed today over the project will facilitate easier access and granted easier access to the public.
He said under the MOU, Islamic Bank branches in the atolls will be able to accept payments to the Corporation for Hajj and Umrah. He said the services will begin in the near future. Sheikh Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim Rasheed said the Corporation played a vital role in achieving the set targets set for the nation’s religious agenda.
The Sheikh noted the work and assistance provided by the Government and private individuals. He especially noted the critical role played by President Yameen, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim and Finance Minister Jihad in boosting the company.
