Former Defense Minister Colonel (Rtd) Mohamed Nazim’s case has been submitted to Asian Centre for Human Rights in New Delhi.
The case was submitted to the Centre by Nazim’s brother Adam Azim and head of Nazim’s legal team Husnu Suood.
Azim raised the issues of Nazim’s health status, delay in medical consultation, limited time available for medical consultation aboard and the Government’s insistence that medical treatment should be sought only from Singapore.
Husnu Suood raised the issues of High Court appeal process delays and the halt in proceedings of the Court due to the changes in the Court’s bench. He also noted that there had not been a hearing of the case in 100 days.
The case was formally submitted to the Centre’s Director Suhas Chakma.
