Scheduled trial hearing over the murder case of Ahmed Mirza، White House، N. Maalhendhoo – who was attacked while he was near Vilimalé children’s park vicinity، had been cancelled today.
While trial hearing which was tabled for 11:00hrs today by Criminal Court had been cancelled، the previous hearing had disclosed that a document evidence in the form of Medico Legal Report will be presented in today’s hearing along with the inquiry from the individual who compiled the report was also on agenda.
All eyewitness testimonials presented by the state had all been accounted for in the case.
Ahmed Mirza was murdered on 11th April 2011، around 17:45hrs، by the brute force from a log – while he was present near the children’s park at Vilimalé.
State has pressed charges against Abdulla Naseef، Zaaviya، Gn. Fuvahmulah، Mohamed Shifau، V. Fazeela Manzil and Ali Rifshan، Bokaruge، G.Dh. Gahdhoo for the murder of Ahmed Mirza. While state had presented testimonials against Shifau and Naseef، no testimonials have been presented against Rifshan.
Naseef is being prosecuted for the deliberate act of murder، while both Rifshan and Shifau are charged with the direct involvement in a murder.
