The new WHO Representative to the Maldives، Dr. Arvind Mathur has presented his letter of appointment to Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon.
The new representative presented the credentials and paid a courtesy call on Minister Dunya at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning.
During the meeting، Minister Dunya congratulated Dr. Mathur on the commencement of his term. During the meeting held afterwards، Minister Dunya highlighted the important role WHO has played، since the establishment of WHO country office in Maldives on 26 February 1965.

Minister Dunya also expressed her appreciation for the continued assistance from WHO in the area of improving health systems in the Maldives.
Senior officials from Foreign Ministry and WHO office in Male’ also attended the meeting.
Dr Arvind Mathur is the WHO Representative to the Republic of Maldives as of August 19، 2015.
