A fake message is being distributed among the media personnel under the name of Home Minister Umar Naseer.
In a tweet posted، Umar has stated that those messages are not sent by him.
The message says that ‘the country needs to be saved from vice president Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor’.
It continues that this is the final advise، and the matter should be undertaken as a national duty.
Meanwhile، rumours have erupted that the government is conflicted on the matter of explosion aboard presidential speedboat ‘Finifenma’. Another rumour says that Home Minister is reportedly attempting to ‘pin vice president as the culprit’.
Home Minister Umar has been appointed the head of the commission on security to the president.
Following the incident، reports say that two officers of MNDF working in armory have been arrested.
The incident is being investigated by the Police and MNDF with assistance from foreign investigators.
