The case of South Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof allegedly assaulting Vilufushi MP Riyaz Rasheed was raised only to threaten him، says MP Ahmed Mahloof.
MP Mahloof was accused of hitting MP Riyaz during the first sitting of the first session of the People’s Majlis this year.
However، Mahloof refuted the accusations and stated it was only raised to defame him and to threaten him. He made the statement on a tweet he published earlier today.
The case was filed in the Majlis by Mahibadhoo MP Ahmed Thorig (Tom). On a letter sent to the Speaker Abdulla Maseeh، MP Thoriq said Mahloof assaulted Riyaz on the face، and the incident was witnessed by Hoarafushi MP Mohamed Moosa and Guraidhoo MP Ibrahim Riza.
