On the occasion of the National Day of Brunei Darussalam, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed felicitations and warm wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Government, and the people of Brunei Darussalam.
In his message, President Dr Muizzu highlighted that the Maldives and Brunei have enjoyed decades of close and cordial relations and noted his hope to further strengthen the ties of cooperation and friendship between the two brotherly countries and people in the coming years.
President Dr Muizzu also extended his personal best wishes for His Majesty's good health and wellbeing, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Brunei Darussalam.
The Maldives and Brunei Darussalam established diplomatic relations on March 31, 1984.
