Maldives Coast Guard has provided assistance to a second speedboat today, which was at risk of sinking.
This speedboat was also carrying tourists.
MNDF said that the speedboat, 'Souvenir 34', travelling outside K. Thilafushi, had suffered damage and started taking in water.
Male' Area Coast Guard Second Squadron had attended the scene, providing assistance to those on the vessel.
MNDF said that there were 38 persons on board the vessel, 34 of whom were tourists.
Earlier today, a speedboat carrying tourists from ADh Dhigurah to Male' had also sunk, with all aboard having been rescued and taken back to Dhigurah.
