Naivaadhoo has secured the Haa Dhaalu Atoll championship of the Golden Futsal Challenge 2026, marking their 8th time winning the trophy.
Naivaadhoo maintained their status as the “Futsal Kings” of Haa Dhaalu by defeating Nolhivaranfaru 4-2 in the final played tonight.
Naivaadhoo entered this tournament without three of their key players, who were away representing the Maldives with the national futsal team. These players are Abdulla Shafiu (Shappe), Abdulla Visam (Vitte), and goalkeeper Najih.
In tonight’s final, the goals for Naivaadhoo were scored by Hussain Maishan and Mohamed Aslam (Monday), with each player netting two goals.
The goals for Nolhivaranfaru were scored by Akram Abdul Rasheed and Mohamed Riza.
The Man of the Match in the final was Naivaadhoo’s Maishan, who was also named the Best Player of Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
Naivaadhoo has previously won the Haa Dhaalu Atoll championship in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
