The Niyami (Coastal Navigation) course conducted in HA. Ihavandhoo has concluded, and a closing ceremony has been held.
This course was conducted as a joint collaboration between the Ihavandhoo Council and the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
The program, which ran from December 26th to 30th, was a Niyami Certificate Level 2 course.
The President of the Ihavandhoo Council, Ahmed Sobah, told “Thiladhun” that the course was organized at the request of vessel owners in conjunction with the most recent Fishermen’s Day.
“There are many small dinghies, boats, and speedboats on this island. Therefore, youth and vessel owners had been requesting such a course. All participants who joined this course have successfully completed it and achieved their certification,” Sobah stated.
A total of 49 individuals from Ihavandhoo participated in the course, passed, and received their certificates.
