Nasheed’s trial re-scheduled for tomorrow night

The current and on-going trial of former President Mohamed Nasheed، faces re-scheduling for its’ second hearing.
Nasheed، who is being prosecuted for terrorism charges will have his trial’s second hearing tomorrow night in Criminal Court at 20:00hrs.
In addition to the prosecution of Mohamed Nasheed’s trial over kidnapping of Chief Justice of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed، under terrorism charges، former Defence Minister Thol-hath Ibrahim Kaleyfaanu’s trial، prosecuted for terrorism charges will take place tomorrow as well. Second hearing of Thol-hath’s trial is scheduled for tomorrow at 22:00hrs.
Both Nasheed and Thol-hath received a 3 day period each to assign defence lawyers during the first hearing of their respective trials.
In addition to this، state government is prosecuting current Defence Minister Moosa Ali Jaleel، mid-Hithadhoo constituency member Ibrahim Mohamed Didi and former Colonel Mohamed Ziyadh over terrorism charges.
Their trials took place yesterday and each of the men received a 3 day period to assign their own defence lawyer.
