Jumhooree Party will be participating in June 12 rally – Iboo

MDP Parliamentary Group President، Ibrahim Mohamed Solih confirms Jumhooree Party members will also be participating alongside MDP and AP in the upcoming June 12 rally.
While speaking at a press conference held by the Steering Committee of the opposition-alliance’s “National Activity”، Mr. Ibrahim said the relationship between opposition parties are still intact and strong، and Jumhooree Party members will continue supporting and participating in opposition-backed activities.
According to Mr. Ibrahim، the scheduled rally will be proceed as planned on June 12، Friday. The rally is expected to start from Artificial Beach area، with participants walking through Majeedhee Magu، while voicing their concerns towards the government.
In addition to this، he mentioned the rally will be starting after 20:00hrs on 12th June، while affirming that participants are prepared for a second rally the following day if the necessity is introduced.
Noticeable factor of today’s press conference led by the opposition-alliance would be the absence of any Jumhooree Party member from it، while JP had not yet confirmed any official remarks on whether they will be participating in June 12 protest.
Meanwhile، Jumhooree Party had initiated talks with the state government without any conditions applied.
Both MDP and Adaalath Party has been welcomed for talks with government، however both parties had conditioned their imprisoned leaders as the representatives for possible peace-talk meetings.
