The veteran politician Abdulla Hameed has passed away in Bangalore، India، this afternoon.
Abdulla Hameed is the brother of former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
Reports say he passed away in Bangalore while getting treatment following a heart attack he had three days earlier.
He was also admitted in ADK Hospital following a stroke in July.
Abdulla Hameed was the atolls minister، education minister، as well as، the speaker of the Majlis during ex-President Maumoon’s administration.
He had completed several government tenures during ex-President Nasir’s administration.
