More than 300 businesses are participating in the Business Forum organized by Maldives in China today, said Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the Business Forum held in Fujian Province, China.
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said businesses from aviation, travel, tourism, real estate, engineering, cargo and logistics, banking and finance, and fisheries and agriculture will participate in the forum.
Some of Maldives' most prominent entrepreneurs have also arrived in China for the one-day forum.
While President Dr. Muizzu is focusing on expanding additional large businesses in the Maldives, one of the main focuses is the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
Last night, the President also met with a number of Chinese business leaders.
