Ibu, Eva and Faisal omitted from the Party Registry for not submitting form with fingerprint
Three Members of the Parliament has been removed from the registry of the political parties for not submitting the political party application form with their fingerprints on them. The three MPs who were removed from the register are the MP for Kaashidhoo constituency, Faisal Naseem, who was with Jumhooree Party (JP) and MP for the Hinnavaru constituency, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) and the MP for North Galolhu constituency, Eva Abdulla who were with MDP. Member of the Elections Commission (EC), Ahmed Akram said that the MPs who lost their party membership still have the opportunity to join their political parties under the set regulations. EC has previously given the opportunity to include fingerprints on the political party application forms that were signed before the inception of the Law of Political Parties.
