Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday, 23 May 2021, reports opening its application window for proposals under ‘Aharenge Bank’ Community Fund.
The community improvement initiative under the national of bank of Maldives attempts to provide financial backing to smart or innovative community projects.
According to BML, the five best proposals submitted, will be selected for the second phase of the Community Fund for the current year.
Moreover, the Community Fund is open for individuals and registered NGOS alike.
The fund focuses majorly towards projects in the areas of education, environment, sports and community engagement.
Furthermore, successful applicants will receive MVR50,000 to implement their projects.
Applicants can send their proposals along with the application form and other relevant documents to [email protected] before 23:59hrs of 12 June 2021.
BML notes that the Community Fund is “a program to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.”
Meanwhile, the bank has provided financial assistance to a total of 45 islands across the country under its fund, as of today.
