PPM has decided to officially hand over the PPM party tickets to PPM candidates who will run in the upcoming local elections on Thursday night. The event is named as “Heyvalla”.
According to PPM the chief guest of the ceremony will be President Yameen. The ceremony will be held in the carnival area and PPM officials say that this ceremony will be the largest ceremony to be held by a political party to award party tickets to candidates.
In addition, they said that around 20,000 people are expected to take part in the function. However, members from MDA and DRP will not be taking part in this function. The function will also officially launch the campaign for local council elections of PPM members. Campaign activities will be carried out in all the islands.
PPM said that they will not leave any stone unturned to win the elections and they expect a super majority from the elections.
