Former President Nasheed have said that if the people have to defend the decision they made on 23rd September, then they will do it.
President Nasheed made this statement while speaking to The Hindu. He said that taking out to the streets is not easy, but the people will do it, if that has to be done.
He said that the Supreme Court is getting ready to pronounce a verdict and that he does not know what it is going to be. He said that Maldivians will not have any other option but to take to the streets if the verdict is unacceptable.
Furthermore, he said that the transition process is going on and that it should not be expected that this process will go on smoothly. He said that, since President Yameen submitted a case to nullify the elections, he does not believe that things will be smooth in the coming days.
