Over 340 Students Graduate from MNU’s Nine Faculties

The Maldives National University (MNU) has witnessed the graduation of 349 students from its nine different faculties after completing the second term of their respective programmes in 2024.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the MNU, Dr Aishath Shehnaz Adam described the university as a symbol of pride and prosperity of the country and its people. The university plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Maldives and is an important resource to connect the country’s past and future, she said.
The Vice Chancellor said that the main objective of the National University is to produce the knowledge and skills needed by the people. To achieve this objective, the University will improve the quality of education provided by the university, she added.
Students from nine faculties have graduated from MNU this year. The graduates include 101 students from the School of Nursing and 24 students from the School of Medicine.
This year’s graduates also include 26 students from the Faculty of Arts, 62 from the Faculty of Education, eight students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies and 18 from the Faculty of Shariah and Law.
In addition, 20 students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, 26 from the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology, three students from the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, 44 students from MNU Business School and 17 students from the School of Nursing are also among the graduates this year.
