Shaheeb, arrested and released in connection with 130 kg of drugs, still missing

Shaheeb Ibrahim, Lighthouse, GA. Villingili, accused in the 2020 seizure of 130 kg of drugs from a fishing boat, remains at large, police reported on Thursday.
Police initially issued a wanted notice for Shaheeb on September 13, linked to a case in the Criminal Court. A second search was announced on Thursday as he has yet to be located.
Shaheeb is sought under a court order requiring his production in the Criminal Court under police custody on the 23rd of this month at 18:00, due to his consistent failure to appear for summons.

On October 12, 2020, police seized 130 kg of drugs from a fishing boat in Hulhumale' Bay, leading to the arrest of seven individuals, including a 16-year-old. 
Shaheeb and Ahmed Moosa from Violetvilla, HA. Hoarafushi were identified as alleged ringleaders. Despite initial court orders and appeals upholding their custody, the Criminal Court released them on April 6, 2022, citing the state's failure to provide adequate medical care. Their release was conditional for a period of two months.
