PPM’s council member Muhammad Hussain Shareef, Mundhu, have said that if there is an honorary position in the party, it is the post of the President, and not the post of Chief Advisor.
Speaking to the press Mundhu said that, the party by laws were formed in such a way that no one person can take arbitrary control of the party. He said that this was done after their experience with DRP. “The party rules say that everything should be done with the approval of the party council” said Mundhu.
Mundhu said that there is no way that the President can be just an honorary figure in the ruling party.
Home Minister Azleen Ahmed said that, now they have a way forward in running PPM and the party will be operated based on the will of the people.
